The third floor of Central Middle School in Kokomo, IN, is brighter as a result of a school science project. For a project in a class about conservation and using different types of lighting to help with older buildings, a 7th grade class realized that the old terrazzo floors in the school’s hall would reflect more light and create a brighter hallway than the current carpeting provides–without using more energy. The terrazzo floors had been installed by NCTA Contractor member Santarossa Mosaic and Tile.
